We’ve launched the WOP Level Guide to help you understand your padel level from 1 to 10.
Level 1 – Absolute Beginner
Never played padel or any racket sport before. Learning how to hold the racket, basic rules, and first hits.
Level 2 – Beginner
Understands the rules and scoring. Can rally slowly but struggles with control and timing. Learning how to serve and move on the court.
Level 3 – Beginner Advanced
Can return easy shots and start simple rallies. Still uncomfortable with wall rebounds. Working on placement and basic positioning.
Level 4 – Recreational Player
Plays occasionally. Knows the basic techniques and can keep rallies going. Starts using lobs and volleys but with limited control.
Level 5 – Intermediate
Good control and understanding of the game. Can use walls more effectively. Plays with rhythm and attempts tactical shots like bandejas and drop shots.
Level 6 – Intermediate Advanced
Solid all-round player. Confident in volleys, lobs, and defending using the walls. Can apply pressure and build up points with consistency.
Level 7 – Experienced Player
Can control the pace of the game. Plays with intention, uses tactical positioning, and handles both offensive and defensive situations well.
Level 8 – Advanced
High-level player with consistent shot execution and smart positioning. Strong communication and teamwork in doubles play. Regularly plays competitive matches.
Level 9 – Tournament Player
Plays in regional or national tournaments. Excellent technique, fitness, and tactical awareness. Adjusts strategy based on opponents.
Level 10 – Professional
Top competitive level. Plays at national/international level with mastery of all padel techniques, game plans, and mental focus.
